Paris

Paris the city of lovers, of haute cuisine and haute coulture. The city of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre. The city that I shall hopefully be going to for my holidays this year. Partially because I'm lazy and partially because I'm curious I'd like to know the answer to this question...

If you were in Paris what would be the sights that you'd have to see? Or place that you'd have to visit?

Please give me some hints as I have very little idea of what to do while I'm out there!

If I may be so bold as to point you at my Travel Blog, French section... I did Paris in 2 days (not recommended! Too much to see) but hopefully it'll help.

Great place. And the people aren't rude.

i visited paris with a friends last year, we stayed for a week.. did all the things mentioned in the post.. eifel tower ect, plus went on a boat trip which was pretty cool, cold, but cool (we went at christmas) we also went to the moulin rouge, this was pretty expensive but was well worth seeing. We went to see the sacre coure (no idea how to spell that) but i dont recomend going in the dark, a lot of back alleys, we ran most of it! We also went to a circus which uses live animals (not sure how you feel about that?! a bit of a controversal issue! i also recomend getting a week pass on the metro - is far cheaper than paying daily! Hope this helps!

I have been to Paris four times and loved it each and every time..
I have done all the touristy things, but it's not really my bag, baby...
I love to crawl the back streets and walk everywhere I can, although I a metro pass is the best idea.
My friend and I found a deliciously decadent underground jazz bar in the Latin Quarter!!
Explore!!
The people are gorgeous.
Flex your French!! They love it!

I am so envious.

The Picasso and Rodin museums are both really good. Neither are too big either, unlike the Louvre where I always start to feel a bit lightheaded after walking through thirty galleries with seemingly identical portraits(plus the 1000 Japs all trying to take a photo of the Mona Lisa with their camera phones and making it impossible to see)

Pharmacy-related. Well, how about the sewage museum? You get to see the sewers of Paris, complete with real poos floating along. It's a lot more fun than it sounds, honest

Have fun
