New Job?

I had a phonecall today about a job. It's closer to home, so it could mean no more travelling an hour to get to work. It pays more money, which is money in the bank for fees for my next degree. It appears to be a similar type of work to what I'm doing now, and much more than that, it's permanent. I should be excited and looking forward to applying, but I'm not. I'm actually happy in my new department. I like the people I work with, and I feel part of a team, with goals to work towards. The work may be dull at times but the people definitely make up for it. I will apply for this job, don't get me wrong, but I'm not completely happy about it.

PS. It's pancake day! Go on, have a pancake, you know you want to. My personal recommendation is a bog standard pancake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. Mmmmmm.

Sounds like quite a dilemma coming up. Good luck!

Does the new place have biscuits? ;)

I hate decisions like that... leaving the safety or what you know and like for the attraction of more money and closer to where you live. It's a tough call and I hope whatever decision you make suits you.

Oops. I had waffles instead of pancakes this morning.

Good luck with the job situation.

Jingoistic: I think I am from your side of the pond, I just have odd tastes when it comes to pancakes ;-)

Kindablue: Aye it is, but thinking about it, I've sent off my CV and I'll see what happens from there, it would be nice only taking 20 mins to get to work rather than over double that.

Karen: I haven't a clue, but maybe I'd have to bring the biscuit culture along with me ;-)

Wannabe: I hope so too, thank you

Thinker: I'll let you off about the pancakes ;-)

I came across your blog because my statistics told me you were linking to my food blog Help! I Have A Fire In My Kitchen. First thanks for the link. It is appreciated.

I usually just pass over blogs and do not leave a comment, but since I happen to love Cherry Coke, I took a peek around. I will admit the discussion on "Poo" was funny, but you really have a decent blog here. Keep it up! And congrats on being an ex-student with a degree in pharmacology.

And ... Cherry Coke ROCKS!
:)
